WPLL Futures Regional Tryouts
We are proud to team up with US Lacrosse and the National Team Development Program (NTDP) to deliver regional tryouts that offer an opportunity to try out for the WPLL Futures and/or USA Select U15 or U17 teams. This is your opportunity to grow as a player and person alongside some of the most accomplished players and coaches in the women’s game.
Unique to the WPLL Futures program is its focus on empowering its youth athletes on the field and off. Futures participants will have access to intensive in-person curriculum designed to help them further strengthen their confidence, competence, and leadership skills. With these skills in their toolbox, we are preparing the next generation of female lacrosse players to face the world with true bravery. This summer Futures players will come together for a 2-day summit, complete with workshops and a national championship.
The goal of the US Lacrosse National Team Development Program (NTDP) is to provide high-level training for the nation’s top boys and girls high school players that will ultimately expand the talent pool for the U.S. national teams. As part of a three-phased process, players will be trained and evaluated during regional tryouts by crossover U.S. National Team and WPLL athletes, who will work with USL to furnish invitations to the National Combine, a final tryout hosted in Maryland. This will ultimately culminate in a Showcase event in the Fall of 2020, where the final USA Select teams will compete against international competition.
